Serving With Your Whole Heart

Saturday often feels like a day for yourself — and there's nothing wrong with rest and recreation. But Paul's words in Colossians carry a truth that applies to every day, every task, every role: whatever you do, do it for the Lord. Not for applause. Not for a paycheck. Not for recognition. For Him.

This reframes everything. The dishes you wash, the lawn you mow, the project you finish, the child you care for, the neighbor you help — all of it becomes an act of worship when it's done with the right heart. There is no secular and sacred divide in the Kingdom of God. There is only obedience and disobedience.

The word "whatever" is significant. Paul doesn't say "whatever ministry you do" or "whatever spiritual activity you do." He says whatever. Your work, your parenting, your creativity, your service — all of it is an offering. The question is not whether your task is significant enough. The question is whether your heart is engaged.

Today, wherever you find yourself — serving your family, working on a project, helping a friend, or simply going about ordinary life — do it with your whole heart. Not because anyone is watching. Because He is.
